I am a graphic designer and creative problem solver who is passionate about using design's potential for good. I'm originally from Indiana but have I've lived all across the United States working with a variety of organizations — from political campaigns, to design agencies and nonprofits — all while managing my own clients.     For the last 6 years I've managed my own business designing for organizations across the country. My portfolio includes a wide-range of clients from small start-ups to fortune 100 companies, as well as several non-profits, political candidates, workers’ unions and federal government agencies.

  • Sweetwater Sound
    Production Artist June 2019 - Present

    1. Enjoy a fast-paced, agency environment producing a wide range of communication materials, for Sweetwater and the Sweet Family of Businesses, including Longe Optical, The Clyde Theatre, and the Sweetwater Academy.
    2. Assist Art Directors with keeping projects up-to-date, managing hundreds of project deliverables including display ads, print media, email campaigns, and more.
    3. Responsible for training new employees and interns on brand standards, project procedures, and file organization.
    4. Provide in-depth reports to marketing Directors and the CMO, offering actionable advice to improve the efficiency of production processes.
    5. Work closely with Purchasing and Digital Marketing Directors to develop, test, and implement Airtable processes to automate creative production and streamline project communication across multiple departments.

  • Anita for Arizona - U.S. Congress
    Lead Designer June 2018 - November 2018

    1. Led the campaign’s graphic content effort with a small, trusted team developing content for fundraising, GOTV, endorsements, issues, and voter outreach.
    2. Played a key administrative and organizing role in managing a volunteer force of over 600 people, helping us to win a competitive primary election.
    3. Assisted with field efforts by organizing and maintaining precinct data, mailing lists, and volunteer schedules in Airtable.

  • Petroleum Parts Inc. & Graphics Output
    Marketing Coordinator October 2017 - September 2018

    1. Developed the marketing organizational structure for both companies and created processes to manage the marketing effort, including the implementation of Airtable.
    2. Created HTML templates for emails and landing pages in HubSpot and managed the redesign and development of the company website.

  • Alison for Kentucky - U.S. Senate
    Lead Designer June 2014 - November 2014

    1. Developed content strategy within a four-person digital team that contributed to over forty-million dollars being raised — a fundraising record for the entire Commonwealth.
    2. Designed all printed campaign materials including direct mail, flyers, sign-up forms, and newspaper advertisements targeted to voters across Kentucky.

  • Transamerica Center for Health Studies | Healthier Traditions Cookbooks

    TCHS is a division of the Transamerica Institute that is focused on empowering consumers and employers to achieve the best value and protection from their health coverage, as well as the best outcomes in their personal health and wellness. For the last 3 years, I have worked with TCHS to produce their Healthier Traditions Cookbooks. Each year, the book has a new theme and they partner with a registered dietician and nutritionist to make simple substitutions to traditional recipes to improve diet and increase overall well-being.

  • Nathan Cummings Foundation
    October 2017 - February 2018

    The Nathan Cummings Foundation is a nonprofit that partners with social movements, organizations and individuals to provide solutions to climate change and inequality. I worked with their communications director to create a report and presentation for a board meeting.

  • Great Heights
    November 2017 - February 2018

    Great Heights was founded to provide ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) treatment for those diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities. They focus on treating children while educating their families and support systems about their individualized care plan. I worked with the company founder and CEO to develop the logo and brand guidelines before the grand opening in 2018.

  • Jimmy Gomez for Congress
    June 2016 - December 2016

    Representative Gomez was the only Democrat to win a special election for the U.S. House in 2017. He was elected to represent California's 34th district on June 6, 2017. I created his campaign logo and a reusable shopping bag that was handed out at local stores in the district.

  • Coalition to Protect L.A. Neighborhoods and Jobs
    June 2016 - December 2016

    Measure S was a proposition that would have indefinitely banned most new housing in Los Angeles, increasing rents, destroying jobs, and worsening the homeless crisis in the city. I partnered with CPLANJ to develop campaign branding and literature urging Angelenos to vote NO on Measure S. We defeated the measure on March 7th, 2017 with over 60% of voters voting against it.

  • Ability 360 Wheelchair Basketball League
    October 2016 - November 2016

    Ability 360 is a sports and fitness center that promotes programs to empower people with all disabilities. I created a logo for their youth wheelchair basketball program.

  • United Nurses Association of California
    August 2016 - October 2016

    UNAC/UHCP is a workers union that represents over 32,000 registered nurses and healthcare professionals. In 2016, I created a newspaper ad for United Nurses Association of California that ran in Los Angeles newspapers.

  • U.S. Department of Transportation
    2015-2016

    For the last two years of the Obama administration, I worked with the U.S. Department of Transportation on a variety of branding and print projects. I collaborated directly with Transportation Secretary, Anthony Foxx and his team on some of the most important initiatives the department rolled out.

    1. Every Place Counts Leadership Academy

      August 2016 - September 2016

      The DOT established the Every Step Counts Leadership Academy to provide stakeholders who are not subject matter experts with tools and a framework to engage in the transportation decision-making process at the local, regional, state and federal levels. I developed the logo and brand guides for this initiative.

    2. PHMSA 2021

      May 2016 - September 2016

      The “PHMSA2021” initiative was created to better align resources and capabilities to more effectively deliver on its safety mission. For this project, I created a new, forward-leading identity, a strategic framework brochure and report, and a slide presentation.

    3. Ladders of Opportunity

      April 2015 - May 2016

      This initiative was created to develop and enhance guidance, tools and standards for transportation leaders, grantees and communities to create workforce opportunities that lift more Americans into the middle class. I developed a printed report detailing areas of the U.S. that were most in need of updates.

    4. Build America: Transportation Investment Bureau

      August 2015

      I developed the identity and brand guides for the “Build America Transportation Investment Bureau,” which was created as a point of contact and for state and local project sponsors looking to utilize federal transportation expertise and apply for project funding.

    5. USDOT 50th Anniversary

      May 2015

      I'm proud to have worked with the Federal Department of Transportation to develop the logo for its 50-year anniversary. Secretary Foxx awarded Lynda Johnson (daughter of Lyndon B. Johnson) with a framed keepsake of the final logo at an unveiling ceremony in Washington D.C. The final logo was also made into a commemorative postmark that was used on all the DOT’s mail during 2016.

    6. Grow America

      February 2015 - March 2015

      The “GROW AMERICA” Act was a $478 billion, six year transportation reauthorization proposal that would have provided funding for our nation’s highways, bridges, transit, and rail systems. I collaborated directly with the Office of the Secretary to develop the brand for the “GROW AMERICA” Initiative. I also developed stage banners and podium signs for Anthony Foxx and Joe Biden’s promotional bus tour.

    7. Federal Highway Administration Beyond Traffic 2045

      January 2015 - Febrary 2015

      “Beyond Traffic 2045” is a comprehensive examination of our nation’s transportation system. Key findings forecast how our transportation system will look and perform 30 years from now if we don’t change.This was an “emergency” project, designed in just 5 days. Anthony Foxx unveiled it at an event on the Google campus in 2015. Since then, it has been downloaded more than 500,000 times from the US DOT website.

  • United Food and Commercial Workers Union - (UFCW-770)
    May 2016 - August 2016

    UFCW-770 is a workers’ union in California, representing and advocating for workers in healthcare, retail health, grocery, packing and cannabis. In 2016, I designed buttons and flyers for the Los Angeles Chapter of UFCW. The materials were used to promote fair wages for pharmacists and grocery workers.

  • Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices
    September 2015 - May 2016

    Berkshire Hathaway is a real estate entity. As a production artist, my responsibilities included setting up print files for 800+ real estate agents by retrieving property photos from the MLS, sending proofs to agents, making edits and releasing approved files to printers. I also assisted in creating the quarterly collection – a 200-page magazine of homes for sale.

  • John Hamilton for Mayor - Bloomington Indiana
    January 2015 - May 2015

    With 77% of the vote, John Hamilton swept the Bloomington, Indiana, mayoral race on November 3, 2015. I created his logo and designed several direct mail pieces, brochures and handouts for the campaign.

  • Kentucky Secretary of State - Alison Lundergan Grimes
    January 2015 - February 2015

    After a heated Senate race against Mitch McConnell in 2014, I revised Grimes‘ Senate logo to reflect the Secretary of State position she sought and won re-election for, on November 3, 2015.
